How the FR-SCC process works

Every assessment follows the same consent-first path, whether a family starts on their own or through a partner school.

  1. 01

    Create a guardian account

A parent or legal guardian signs up and becomes the account owner. Students never self-enroll.

  2. 02

Add a student & confirm eligibility

Guardians add student details and complete an age and location gate. Students under 13 require additional protections; students 13–17 require guardian consent plus student assent.

  3. 03

    Review and sign consent

Guardians review exactly what is assessed, how data is stored, and who can see it, then provide informed, revocable consent. Students old enough to understand are asked to assent in their own words.

  4. 04

    Complete the 20-competency assessment

The student completes a guided, age-appropriate assessment covering cognitive agility, creative capacity, human collaboration, and self-direction.

  5. 05

Get a development plan, not a label

Results are translated into a personalized growth plan with specific, actionable next steps — reviewed together by the family.

  6. 06

    Track progress over time

Guardians can reassess on a regular cadence to see growth, and schools can layer in counselor case management for at-scale support.

Legal safeguards built into every step

Age and jurisdiction determine exactly what consent is required before any assessment activity can begin.

Under 13

Verifiable guardian consent is required for every step, with heightened data protections in line with COPPA.

13–17

Guardian consent plus student assent are both recorded before the assessment unlocks.

18 and over

Students consent for themselves and can invite a guardian or mentor to view results.
