Safeguarding Policy

Working with students means safeguarding comes first. This page explains how we screen the adults on our platform and how concerns are handled.

Before an assessor or tutor is assigned

No assessor or tutor is assigned to a student until the legal gate for that case is satisfied: age and jurisdiction checks, guardian consent, and, where applicable, student assent. Tutors also go through an English-proficiency screening, a subject-knowledge evaluation, and training in the Ozap learning methodology before they are matched with students.

During sessions

Every session is one-on-one between a student and their assigned tutor or assessor, conducted through the Ozap Space platform. Guardians retain visibility into scheduling and progress at all times through their dashboard, and can pause or end an engagement by withdrawing consent.

Reporting a concern

If a guardian, student, or staff member has a safeguarding concern about a session, a tutor, or an assessor, it should be reported immediately to info@ozap.space. Reports are reviewed and, where appropriate, the tutor or assessor is suspended from active cases while the concern is investigated.

Accountability and audit trail

Every consent decision, assent decision, legal gate outcome, and case status change is written to an audit log, which supports safeguarding reviews and investigations if a concern is raised. See our Trust & Safety page for more on how this works.

Emergencies

Ozap Space is not an emergency service. If a student is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first, then notify us so we can take appropriate action on our platform.

We use advertising analytics to understand which pages help families find us. No student information is ever shared. See our Privacy Policy.
